Being a native Californian, I moved to South Jersey in 2001. I am married with two daughters ages 5 and 19,
and work as a dental assistant. I have been a member of Active Fitness for 6 years. Fitness has always been a part
of my life since my teenage years. Never would I have guessed, however, that I would have the honor of participating
in Kelly's videos for the last 3 years.
I did have a minor setback when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I had a pacemaker placed in my first
trimester at age 37. I was born with a congenital heart block and always knew I would need it one day, I just
didn't expect it would be at such a young age. Taking class with Kelly has kept me energized and strong and now
at age 42, I have never felt better or been in such good shape. She has become such a dear friend and inspiration
to me along with the other fabulous women in her videos. I thank you for keeping me so motivated Kelly!

I was born and raised in New Jersey. My husband Michael and I have two children, Nolan, 9 and Brynn, 5.
Traveling, scuba diving, and fitness training are among my major interests.
Throughout my adult life I found myself starting and stopping fitness programs many times. Unfortunately,
nothing kept my interest for an extended period of time.
My fitness interest changed when, in 2007, I was diagnosed with a medical condition called osteopenia, a
precursor to osteoporosis. I was advised to start taking bone building medications, but was concerned with the
potential side effects. I asked for an alternative choice of treatment and began taking mega doses of calcium,
magnesium and vitamin D. More importantly, I was advised to begin a weight bearing exercise program. That is
when I discovered Kelly's fitness program. I was inspired, not only by her energetic leadership, but also by the
positive results I was seeing in my body. I worked out with Kelly at least three times a week for a year, and in
2008, I went for a Dexa scan to measure my bone density. To my amazement, I had completely reversed the effects of osteopenia!
I remain fit and healthy, and continue to enjoy ever changing and challenging classes.

Born and raised in central Massachusetts, I left my beloved BoSox and Patriots behind for college and later law school at the University of Maryland. While practicing law at a firm in Washington, D.C., I met my husband and we moved to South Jersey to be close to his family. I continue to practice law from my home office in South Jersey as General Counsel for a federal government contractor based outside of Washington, D.C.
My husband Pete and I have two children, my son Luke and daughter Emersyn. With both pregnancies, I gained quite a bit of weight but it was my second pregnancy that really made me tip the scales by gaining a whopping 60lbs! I struggled to shed the baby weight. Despite regular exercise and eating a healthy diet, I still couldn’t shake those last 10-15 pounds. That is when I decided to sign up for my first triathlon. I joined a local gym so that I could take spin classes during the winter months to train for the triathlon and was fortunate enough to try one of Kelly’s aerobic and later body sculpting classes just for fun. I loved them so much, that I am now a regular at the gym and take anything and everything that Kelly teaches. Her attitude about working your hardest and doing your best inspire me to strive for a better state of physical fitness every day. As for that first triathlon, I am happy to say that I completed it and even came in 3rd place for my age group! I continue to participate in
sprint triathlons each summer but am always at the gym to participate in Kelly’s classes.
While I never participated in traditional organized sports, I was a cheerleader and choreographer all through middle school and high school. Dancing and choreography are my thing and I have recently obtained my license to teach Zumba so that I can continue to enjoy dancing and choreography as an adult.

Originally from Akron, OH, I moved with my family to Syracuse, NY at age 11. I attended SUNY Brockport near Rochester, NY and later moved to Philadelphia for Temple University’s graduate program in Urban Studies. After graduating, I worked for two years in the non-profit sector studying and helping to create youth development programs nationally. I left the non-profit world for less travel and spent the past 11 years working in the pharmaceutical industry. I currently live in Marlton, NJ with my wife Meg and our two kids Isaac, 13 and Grace, 9.
I’ve worked hard to maintain a healthy and comfortable weight. Delicious food has always been a tradition in my family. From my mother’s soulful culinary creations to favorite desserts and late night snacks, our family enjoys a tasty meal. Learning to control how much, what and when I eat has been a key in achieving a higher level of fitness.
Along with diet control, exercise has played a major role in my adult fitness lifestyle. I learned to train and push my limits as a varsity athlete in high school. When my son Isaac was born, I stopped exercising and packed on 35lbs. With my wife’s encouragement, I found my way back to the gym and slowly began to work off the weight. As is the case for many gym “regulars”, I grew bored of the treadmill and elliptical machines. I wanted to exercise but needed to have fun in the process. Classes were the answer. I stumbled into my first class 8 years ago and was hooked.
Kelly’s classes and subsequent DVD’s are the highest level of group training and instructional exercise I’ve encountered. With painstaking attention to detail, Kelly has assembled a combination of routines that have helped me and many others find our finest, fittest selves. While Kelly’s routines require sustained intensity, fun is the cornerstone on which they are built.
I encourage any guy on the fence about taking a class to take the plunge and get started. Be prepared to work hard, transform your body and have more fun than you might imagine.

Kris has been featured in 9 Coffeyfit videos.
I was born and raised in New
Jersey. I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Advertising and Public Relations. I worked for a large advertising firm in NYC
for three years as an Account Executive on the Toyota car account. I married my
neighbor and college sweet heart and we have two boys, ages 14 and 9. We
currently own and operate our own business near our hometown. I have always been
involved in sports since an early age. Softball and soccer in High school and
then onto the tennis team in college. I enjoy exercising, running, and recently
golf and tennis which are my new loves, but I still have a ways to go yet. Of
course, taking Kelly's classes have always been my favorite and it is a lot of
fun while staying my young 40 (something)
years.

Lauren
"Lauren has accompanied me in all of my Coffeyfit workout DVDs and has
proven, without a shadow of a doubt, to be the best modifier in the business!"
- Kelly Coffey Meyer
Growing up in South Jersey with 3 older brothers, sports
and fitness were always apart of my life. Playing varsity field hockey and
softball in high school I knew I needed to bring that love of fitness with
me to college. I started teaching group fitness my freshman year at The
University of Denver in order to ward off that "freshman 15." Graduating
with a B.S.B.A. I still continued to teach group fitness as I explored a
career in banking and then working for a fortune 100 company. After my
second son was born I was a victim of the technology corporate downsizing.
However, I took the time to stay home with my boys and further my love of
fitness. Teaching group fitness for now close to 20 years, I've expanded my
knowledge by gaining a personal training certification through ACSM along
with mat Pilates and Pilates reformer certifications and MADD dog spinning
certification. I believe all of this knowledge helps me to pass my
knowledge of fitness to others.
After living in CO for almost 10 years, I moved back to
NJ to be closer to family. Because of this I was able to cross paths with
Kelly and finally take classes from an instructor who gave me what I hope I
gave my class participants. After bugging Kelly to give me a "tryout" to
teach for her club (and I mean I had to BEG) I was able to convince her that
my love of teaching was like hers. I've now taught for Kelly for close to 6
years now and continue to learn and grow from her knowledge everyday. I
love every bit of being apart of her exercise video process - not only have
I accomplished something I never thought I would but I've gained an amazing
friendships that I would never have had otherwise!

Jennifer
Growing up in South Jersey as the oldest of four, I never really
played any sports. I only liked gym class if we were doing gymnastics or basic fitness. I actually preferred
dance, studying ballet for 10 years. During my teen years, I took a great interest in fitness and would do my
own little workouts to stay in shape. When I became an adult, I joined my first gym. I found I preferred taking
the fitness classes as opposed to working out on the gym floor. To me, the classes were much more fun and motivating.
In 1994, I graduated from Richard Stockton College of NJ with a B.A.
in Finance. Soon after graduation, I started working as a Financial Analyst/Mortgage Trader at a New Jersey-based
mortgage company. I worked there for 9 years and during that time met my husband. While I enjoyed what I did,
I wanted to be able to be home more with my children. When I had my second child in 2005, I resigned from the
mortgage business to be able to be home full time with my daughter and new son.
Now that I was no longer working long hours, I was able to go to the gym more. I was taking exercise classes taught
by both Kelly and Lauren. About a year ago, Kelly asked me if I would be interested in teaching classes.
I thought, “Why not give it a try?” Now that my son was a little older, I was able to teach while he is in school.
I have been teaching for about a year now and am really having fun with it!

I am a tomato-eating, Bon Jovi loving Jersey girl at heart! I am married with 3 children, Lauren, 13, Macey, 11, and Tyler, 8.
While raising our children and my photography business has been foremost in my life the last 13 years, over the past 3 years I have transformed my body and mind through nutrition and fitness training.
Growing up as an only child in South Jersey, sports and working out was never a central part of my life as it is for many children.
When I became a mother, I realized the importance of staying active and fit- not only for yourself, but to keep up with the children and to say healthy as I age.
One of the things my closest friends and family will tell you is that when I put my mind to something, I will find a way to succeed. It is with this level of determination that I took on fitness, finding new ways to challenge myself each week.
I am proud to say that I went from couch potato to triathlete by working out on a consistent basis throughout 2009.
If I can do it, you can do it. Even the smallest of changes can make you a healthier person. I truly consider it a privilege to workout with Kelly. She has been an inspiration to me, and I hope that I may be able to inspire people with my story as well.
Muscle is empowering!
